Is EFDAL ready for commercial use?

Jan 24, 2011 at 9:38 PM

Hi All

Just wondering if I am being to hasty in wanting to use EFDAL in my next project.

I can see how great the NDAL with Mock,WCFServices and more but am I right in assuming that these will come for EFDAL or

am I missing the picture.

Can someone please let me know so that I can confidently move forward.

Thanks

We are using it on some internal projects and it is working well. However it is just Entity Framework with a layer on top. If in the future you want to move away and just use EF you can with minimal code changes. The entities are generated a little differently but if you built you own EF model and retrofitted it the compiler would tell you everywhere to change and mostly it would be plurals. nHydrate just allows you to add database tracking (most significantly) and also interfaces and mocks if you need them. Let me know if you have any issues.
