improvement:setting the modifier property at global level

Mar 27, 2011 at 4:56 PM

I find myself repeating the modifier property each time i create a new instanse of an entity or collection.

A suggestion would be to set this property at a global level (in a similar way the connection string is defined once at startup and used by all entity instanses),

in order to avoid defining it each time.

If the user explicitly defines the modifier at class level it will override to global setting , in other cases it will use the global setting , if it is defined.

This will be in the next release of the ADO.NET libraries. Just like you said there will be a Modifier property on the static configuration values. This will be used to initialize the modifier value when hitting the database but is overridden if one is specified.
