LocalDB support

Nov 7, 2011 at 2:51 AM

Does or will nHydrate support LocalDB since it has all the features of a full MSSQL server? I know that support has been built into dotnet 4 now and it is a great alternative to installing a full SQL server for development even if it is still in developer preview.

I am not sure. The installer simply takes a connection string. So if you have using SQL Server and have a valid connection string, I see no reason why it should not work. the easiest way to check this is create a model with a table and gen the installer. Then run it and give it your connection string.

Thanks i will have to give it a go in the next few days.I think it should be fine as it seems you create the DB file first manually in LocalDB then point he connection string to it.  After that it is like sql server.
