The previous code line for 4.1 is still available in SVN. However the new Visual Modeler 5.1 is now the current release. This is a modeling tool that emits Entity Framework as its data access layer.

NHydrate 5 is absolutely amazing and the developer is incredibly responsive. It is one of the only ORMs I've experienced that handles inheritance with such ease and grace. It saves so much time that you'd be a fool not to use this.

WOW, I have been hand coding something similar (not as complex or complete) and stumbled on this. This is one of the best tools for .NET ever. ORM at it's best will be better when we can target multiple database vendors (mysql, oracle) and .Net Languages. I'm trying to incorporate this into my project today. Highly Recommended !!!

An excellent open-source ORM tool for Visual Studio users. The designer is intuitive and it's one of the few I've tested that does not abstract the database from the programmer. Code generation is pretty good and Chris resolves quickly any issues with it. Highly recommended!

This is a great tool and with more generator libraries added this has become all the more handy. Certainly improves production by saving a lot of time and generating a pretty decent DAL. In addition to that Chris has been open to suggestions and he & his team provide quick response & updates which is great. Would certainly recommend this tool

I would also like to add that this tool is a must in anyones belt. Generated code is of high quality, very simple to use API, and especially love the IOC features it has built in. After using it on a few pilot tests i am convinced in using this tool at production level work. Giannis

Working with the EFDAL. Very user friendly ORM tool. Has usefull additions to the standard EFDAL. It does speedup development time when using nHydrate! Also very good, quick and active support from the guy(s) who develop it. They are also very open minded for wishes.

I knew nothing at all about Entity Framework before I started using nHydrate. It's very logical structure and solid code generation made coming down the learning curve not only easy, but fun! I plan on using it as my primary DAL going forward.

Our company has been using nHydrate for a few years now, and we have begun moving to the new EFDAL. It has proven stable, reliable, and far more convenient than constructing your own framework or working with EF directly. The database management project has been extremely useful as well.

I love the concept - creating stored procedures and objects simply from a database design or a model design; nHydrate rapidly helped me get the basics of a working system. Downside - the documentation; had to figure lots out myself rather than having something easy to read and follow through.

nHydrate, the best code generating ORM tool out there. The most feature rich that I have seen. It is easy to model, generate and code against. You get database installer/versioning and table/row auditing thrown in. IMHO it is superior to EF using secure paramitised stored procedures for CRUD operations. Object graph/relationship walking in any direction to any level. Try it, you will love it.

I have to say i just love using nhydrate. makes life so much easier. There are only 2 things that need some work. 1. The DB designer is clunky and a pain. All the back and forward clicking is a pain it is much easier to build the db in sql manager and import but i would prefer to do it in nhydrate. 2. Nhydrate db changes that fail when upgrade the db are a bitch to reverse from nHydrate.

One of the best ORM tools that I have ever used! The coding syntax is simply fantastic and the generated projects cover everything from the raw DAL all the way up to full REST services. A few key missing elements are preventing me from giving this tool 5 stars: 1) Visual DB designer, 2) Support for Silverlight, 3) Support for SQLCE.

Great release! But, for first time users, must also download the "Step-by-Step" document to generate the code and also the "Users Manual" to understand the structure and features of NHydrate.

I don't know what this guy is talking about. While no there is no Getting Started guide, there are several Youtube videos which really illustrate effectively using nhydrate. WATCH THEM! You'll learn most of what you need to know from there.

Never worked with nHydrate but wanted to evaluate. I tried the VS2010 release. Don't see any way to work with it other than a menu option for nHydrate settings, which nothing happens when I click on this menu option. Maybe from there it should be self-explanatory. Can't seem to find a Getting Started doc to help out. Doc that came with download doesn't address this.
