Xml data types: EFDAL

Feb 15, 2011 at 2:11 PM

I'm using the XML data type for one of my tables in the EFDAL.  However, when I set the value of the field, the validation throws an error that it is longer than the maximum length.  A quick check shows that the maximum allowed length in the validation is 0.

The GetMaxLength function has this in it:

case FieldNameConstants.CustomPropertyXml:

	return 0;

Have I set something in the model incorrectly, or is this a bug?

Make sure you have the latest nHydrate build (4.0.0.186) with the Generator Library in it and download the newest version of EFDAL. Its new version is 187. This issue has been corrected. The XML datatype now supports int.MaxValue.
