nhDAL vs efDAL

Jun 10, 2011 at 2:51 PM

Is there any diference in stability or commitment or ammount of testing between the nhDAL and the efDAL?

Opting fo either one of them, is there any of them which i should expect to have any kind of issues or are they both suposed to work flawlessly (not regarding structural diferences or ammount of features, of course)?

The NHDAL is based on ADO.NET and we do support this and it is being used in numerous production products. However the future of our development efforts will concentrate on EFDAL. This is the data layer that Microsoft is pushing and it has some obvious advantages. We are moving this data layer forward much faster than the NHDAL. Both have very similar performance but with metadata and projections the new Entity Framework features are just more functional.
