Motivation for nHydrate vs. Microsoft products

Dec 30, 2009 at 9:27 PM

I am trying to determine what the motivation is for selecting nHydrate vs. Microsoft products such as the Entity Framework and/or WCF Data Services.   Can someone point me to a good article/discussion?

Thank you,

Rich

Thanks for waiting. Here is an article that explains the similarities and differences. The main difference is that EF is a platform to build an application framework while nHydrate generates an application framework out of the box. Both can be extended and overlap in functionality; however EF does have a higher learning curve to build the niceties that you use when coding. This platform already has much of the convenience functionality created for you wrapped in a simpler syntax.
